We built our home in 2003 and for the most part, the rooms have remained "builder white" or ecru or what ever color it is that they spray paint the inside of new construction. Generally, it takes some inspiration (followed by perspiration) for me to be motivated into design and actual decoration of a room. One of the beauties of photographing high-end homes for a living is the inspiration that comes from the design and decoration of many custom homes. The inspiration for the nursery came in part from my exposure to these homes. I also surfed the web for ideas. The colors ultimately came from the bedding that I chose. Here is the room that we started with. It is approximately 12x10 in size with a large bank of windows on one wall and a large closet opposite the windows.
